Morning in Kabul.

Here I am in Kabul! It is so incredibly beautiful, especially in the daytime. The traffic in Kabul is crazy! No one will give way, everyone goes where they want to! No one is paying attention to the traffic controller! As in most eastern countries everybody uses their hooter all the time! There are many bicycles everywhere! It is total chaos, but very funny!

While I was driving to our office I asked the driver about the difference between Kabul and Kandahar. He said that Kandahar is more dangerous, and Kabul is so quite, but 5 minutes later a suicide bomber blew himself up! That's why there is plenty to report by our journalists this morning! There are too many Taliban in Kandahar said our driver! I asked him about Musa Qala (the place where I'm going) His response was to made some strange sound and laughs... I Took this to mean that it's more dangerous then in Kandahar! Every one in the office was grinning when they heard about me going to Musa Qala. This little piece of land is the heartland of Taliban. This place is the favorite haunt for journalists! I want to see exactly what is there. The winter is traditionally more peaceful! Everyone advices us to: always look under our feet!

Our office is nice, with a patio with barbed wire entwined like vines, with an iron gate and 6 metro high fence! And of course a lot of security! There are maps and photographs on the wall. The are afghans who look after the house, and also prepare breakfast which usually consists of fruits scrambled eggs and coffee. ...but the light is so beautiful...

At Kabul airport you are met with the inscription "Welcome to the land of the brave"! It's forbidden to take a photograph here so I'll try to describe how it looks. At the front of the parking lot is a army jeep incorporating a wooden booth with big glass windows, inside a man sits checking documents! The height of this construction is 4 meters!
